OVER CHRISTMAS WE RECEIVED THE SAD NEWS THAT DAVID JEFFERYS HAD PASSED AWAY

If you are part of the HiFi Industry or visited HiFi Shows where his brands exhibited will have known David Jefferys. He had worked in the HiFi Industry for many years and knew people everywhere, his passion for the HiFi Industry combined with his love of travel meant that he had visited places and people all around the world.

David passed away peacefully on Monday December 26th, surrounded by his family.

HIFI INDUSTRY

David has had a long career in the HiFi Industry having previously worked with brands such as AKG, Tannoy, Mordaunt Short, Epos, Exposure Electronics and Q Acoustics. He had in-depth knowledge of distributors and retailers in international markets and deployed that to the advantage of the brands he worked with.

FINKTEAM AND EPOS

David joined his good friend Karl Heinz Fink’s FinkTeam in 2017, as their Export Director, and was a key part in the rapid success of the German HiFi brand. Most recently he could be found representing FinkTeam at HiFi Shows and events around the world and, in the last months, also promoting Karl Heinz’s latest project, the newly revived and revamped Epos Loudspeakers, which Karl Heinz bought at the start of 2020.

DAVID JEFFERYS

David was also a great person, a big character, and always warm and welcoming, he was very supportive of HiFi Pig which we have always deeply appreciated. We always looked forward to meeting up with him for dinner and drinks when we had the opportunity, he was fantastic company, and could both give you good advice and also make you laugh until your sides hurt.

David had a passion for travel and enjoyed his favourite tipple, a G&T

David will be greatly missed by his friends, industry colleagues and family. We send our heartfelt condolences to his wife Liz and family.
