DIRAC AND DENON REVEAL AUTOMOTIVE AUDIO CONCEPT AT CES 2025
Dirac and Denon, well known in home theatre and headphone audio, have unveiled their first collaboration in the automotive sector at CES 2025, the Denon Car Audio Concept System.
The Denon Car Audio Concept System, featuring Dirac’s sound optimisation and spatialisation technologies, is set to redefine in-car audio immersion, says Denon.
The concept is showcased at CES 2025 in a Tesla Model Y at Booth #W6510 in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Centre until January 10th 2025.
A PARTNERSHIP ROOTED IN INNOVATION
Previously, Dirac and Denon partnered to create the successful Denon PerL earbuds and an extensive range of audio-video receivers. This new venture extends their expertise into automotive audio, leveraging Dirac’s proven record in working with brands like Volvo, Polestar, and Genesis.
THE DENON CAR AUDIO CONCEPT SYSTEM
Denon’s system, optimised by Dirac, boasts 22 speakers and exciters, including headrest and height channels. The system incorporates Dolby Atmos and features innovative components from Audio Foundry partners, such as Tymphany’s transducers and Trèves’ headrest exciters. The result is a sound environment comparable to Denon’s high-end home audio systems.
TACKLING AUTOMOTIVE AUDIO CHALLENGES
Creating immersive sound in vehicles presents unique challenges, including speaker interference and cabin-induced sound distortion. Dirac’s digital audio solutions mitigate these issues by harmonising speaker performance and compensating for cabin acoustics, delivering clear, distortion-free audio with enhanced bass.
CUSTOMISABLE LISTENING EXPERIENCE
At CES, visitors can experience the Denon Car Audio Concept System’s customisation features, allowing users to adjust audio immersion and equalisation levels to match their preferences. Settings can be saved for future listening sessions.
The Denon Car Audio Concept System is currently a demonstration model, with no pricing or release details announced.
HiFi PiG Says: A very interesting new step for Denon and Dirac.
