Following its initial debut at the CEDIA Expo 2024, the Danish audio company has further refined the design. The updated model now features integrated amplification and processing, all housed within the soundbar itself, making the system more user-friendly and easier to install than before, they tell us.

DYNAUDIO SYMPHONY OPUS ONE SOUNDBAR CONCEPT

The Dynaudio Symphony Opus One Soundbar Concept is an all-in-one audio solution designed to pair seamlessly with large-screen TVs, particularly 83-inch models, thanks to its 73-inch wingspan. The soundbar features a unique design with 72 motorised wooden fins, which independently move to reflect the current listening mode and offer a striking visual element. Behind these fins are 24 drive units, including six soft-dome tweeters, 14 mid/bass drivers, and four dual-diaphragm force-cancelling subwoofers. These drivers are powered by 1500W of digital amplification, processed by Dynaudio’s proprietary spatial audio algorithms to create an immersive sound experience.

NEW UPDATES TO THE CONCEPT

The major update to this version is the inclusion of all the electronics inside the soundbar, eliminating the need for external components and simplifying the installation process. This new design eliminates the hassle of dealing with external wiring, making it more convenient for users who want high-end sound with minimal setup.

IMMERSIVE SOUND MODES

The Dynaudio Symphony Opus One offers four distinct sound modes for an optimal listening experience across various types of content.

Authentic mode delivers pure stereo sound, providing the high-end HiFi performance Dynaudio is known for.

Soundstage mode widens the stereo mix to enhance the sense of space for all listeners in the room.

Immersive mode supports native Atmos or other spatial audio formats, using advanced sound-beaming and cancellation techniques to envelop the listener in full surround sound.

DeepDive creates a virtual surround sound effect for any content, providing a personalised immersive ‘bubble’ for each listener, regardless of their position in the room.

DESIGN FEATURES AND EASE OF USE

The Dynaudio Symphony Opus One features an aluminium-alloy frame covered in a Nordic-inspired tactile fabric. The individually motorised white-oak wood fins provide a sleek, modern aesthetic. The soundbar is also designed to be user-friendly, with a simple setup process. A built-in microphone in the included remote control helps optimise the system’s acoustic performance based on its placement within the room, whether it’s on a stand, mounted on a wall, or in an open space.

Looking to the future, Dynaudio plans to extend the Symphony Opus One’s capabilities with support for wireless subwoofers and rear surround speakers, further enhancing its immersive audio experience.

DYNAUDIO SYMPHONY OPUS ONE SOUNDBAR CONCEPT PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

Symphony Opus One is still in development and is expected to launch in 2025. The price is anticipated to be around $20,000 USD, with custom finishes available for a higher price. Final pricing and options will be confirmed at the time of the product’s official launch.

CES 2025
