ECLIPSE, has been personally selected by award-winning guitarist Miloš Karadaglić to supply reference monitors for the world premiere of Joby Talbot’s new Guitar Concerto at the BBC Proms, (Prom 25) held at the Royal Albert Hall last night, the 2nd of August.
Described by The Sunday Times as, “The hottest guitarist in the world”, Miloš Karadaglić selected ECLIPSE’s flagship TD712zMK2 loudspeaker with integrated stand (£6,500 per pair) as his personal reference loudspeaker/monitor for the event.
Karadaglić preformed as a soloist for the world premiere of a new concerto, Ink Dark Moon for guitar and orchestra, written especially for him by composer Joby Talbot. The Proms performance followed Karadaglić’s Proms Sessions earlier in the week, (also held at the Royal Albert Hall), which included a number of workshops giving young people the chance to work alongside artists performing at the Proms. ECLIPSE’s flagship TD712zMK2 speakers were also used by Karadaglić in a series of event rehearsals at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios in the run-up to the Proms.
Speaking about the flagship TD712zMK2 Karadaglić said, “‘I feel so fortunate and happy to discover this incredible speaker. I never imagined something could make my guitar sound so natural and real. If you would not see the speaker you’d genuinely think it’s not even there. Thank you, everyone, at ECLIPSE for this beautiful speaker that from now on I will take with me everywhere.”
