PER ABRAHAMSEN OF ELECTROCOMPANIET HAS SADLY DIED
One of the best-known names of High End Scandinavian HiFi is Electrocompaniet. We have just received the sad news from the Norwegian HiFi brand that founding partner Per Abrahamsen has died aged 78.
Per Arild Abrahamsen passed away on December 9th, after a prolonged period of illness.

Per was a founding partner in Electrocompaniet and was instrumental in the development of the legendary 2-channel 25 watt Electrocompaniet amplifier, and many subsequent products in the Electrocompaniet success story. In addition to Per’s love of good sound, he was a music lover, musician, and a family man.

Volker Hunger, Electrocompaniet’s current technical director told us: ”Per was instrumental in bringing me to Norway and Electrocompaniet, he was my mentor and boss for many years, and I learned a lot from him. I have many fond memories of the times with Per Abrahamsen.”
