ELIPSON PLANET L PERFORMANCE LOUDSPEAKERS LAUNCHED

Elipson’s Planet L range gets several upgrades as the French brand has introduced the Elipson Planet L Performance, a refined version that builds upon its spherical predecessor with significant acoustic upgrades while maintaining its signature aesthetic.

Upgrades include faster, more controlled bass and increased power, with a jump from 60W RMS to 100W RMS.

NEW BASS-MIDRANGE DRIVER

At the heart of the Elipson Planet L Performance is a redesigned 6.5-inch cellulose pulp driver with damping treatment. The Kapton voice coil support enhances cooling under high demand, while the newly developed Dual Asymmetric Rubber (DAR®) suspension ensures precise, pistonic movement for better control and accuracy.

UPGRADED HIGH-FREQUENCY PERFORMANCE

The high-frequency range also sees a significant upgrade, with a 25mm silk-treated dome tweeter featuring a horn-loaded design for smoother and more linear high-frequency extension. A neodymium magnet improves efficiency and precision.

HIGH-END CROSSOVER AND INTERNAL WIRING

Elipson has equipped the Planet L Performance with an audiophile-grade crossover network featuring premium components. The internal wiring has been upgraded to 2.25mm² OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) cabling, ensuring optimal signal transmission.

ICONIC DESIGN WITH NEW FINISHES

Staying true to its signature spherical form, the Elipson Planet L Performance offers an expanded range of finishes. In addition to the classic lacquered and matte options, the Performance edition introduces a Satin Gold range, catering to a variety of interior aesthetics. Finish options include Glossy Black, Glossy White, Glossy Red, Matte White, Matte Black, Mineral Blue, Beige, and four Satin Gold variations.

While the original Planet L remains a respected option, the Elipson Planet L Performance takes things further with a more powerful 100W RMS rating, improved driver technology, and enhanced componentry. The crossover features upgraded capacitors and resistors for more precise signal handling, and the addition of gold-plated terminals ensures better connectivity. Sensitivity remains at 90dB, and frequency response is unchanged at 46Hz – 20kHz (±3dB).

Elipson has ensured that the Planet L Performance remains fully compatible with existing Planet L accessories. Whether you prefer wall mounting, ceiling suspension, or dedicated stands, all current Planet L installation solutions work seamlessly with the new model.
