NEW HEADPHONE AMPLIFIERS FROM ERZETICH
Erzetich Audio has introduced two new headphone amplifiers, the Erzetich Bacillus II and Bacillus II+, designed to offer audiophiles “precise sound quality and refined aesthetics”.
ERZETICH BACILLUS II
The Erzetich Bacillus II is a Class-AB amplifier that builds on the design of the earlier Bacillus Tilia model. Its compact size makes it suitable for smaller setups, while high-quality components such as Obbligato Gold capacitors ensure a neutral, detailed sound with a touch of warmth. The amplifier’s durable metal chassis is complemented by wooden side panels, blending modern design with classic style.
ERZETICH BACILLUS II+
The Bacillus II+ takes performance up a notch with a fully balanced, dual-mono design and a reinforced power supply. This model is engineered to provide enhanced clarity and dynamic range, making it suitable for headphones with impedance levels ranging from 8 to 600 ohms. Its support for both balanced and unbalanced connections offers versatility, while its steel construction with wooden accents ensures a sophisticated look.
Founder Blaž Erzetič described the new models as combining advanced audio engineering with accessibility, explaining that the Bacillus II+ was designed to pair well with high-precision headphones like Erzetich’s own Charybdis.
ERZETICH BACILLUS II AND ERZETICH BACILLUS II+ PRICING
Both models are now available, with the Bacillus II priced at €799 and the Bacillus II+ at €1999. Each amplifier comes with a 5-year limited warranty and is fully serviceable.
