EXASOUND ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF THE S82 MARK II DSD512 STREAMING DAC AND ROON SERVER
Canadian HiFi brand exaSound has released the MKII version of the s82.
With the Mark II release the exaSound s82 becomes all-in-one Roon Server, Streamer, reference grade DSD 512 DAC and Headphone Amplifier, upgrading it from the original s82 version.
EXASOUND S82 MARK II
Featuring ESS9038PRO 32-bit digital-to-analogue converter and refinements like autonomous balanced and unbalanced output stages with improved micro-symmetry, high-resolution volume control, proprietary asynchronous USB streaming, Galvanic isolation, 32-bit low-jitter, bit-perfect signal path and manual selection of PCM reconstructions filters, the s82 Mark II is an all-in-one digital hub for Roon.
EXASOUND S82 MARK II UPGRADABLE POWER SUPPLIES
With two upgradable external power supplies dedicated to the server and DAC modules, exaSound says the s82 Mark II offers the “sonic fidelity of three dedicated audio components and the simplicity of use and cost-savings of having them in one box”. The server and the DAC are galvanically isolated from each-other so that interference from the server is not transmitted to the DAC.
DSD512
s82 Mark II will play natively DSD encoded files and streams up to DSD512; DXD 352.8 kHz; PCM and MQA up to 384 kHz.
ROON SERVER
The new Roon Server Module is powered by Intel i5 processor, 16GB RAM and up to 6TB SSD storage.
In addition to Roon, the s82 Mark II offers a UPnP server and supports streaming with Signalyst HQPlayer, UPnP, AirPlay, Bluetooth and online services Tidal, Qobuz and YouTube.
EXASOUND S82 MARK II PRICE
The s82 Mark II DSD 512 Streaming DAC and Roon Server is available now starting at US $7,599. Their products are in-house designed and hand-made in Canada.
