FELL AUDIO DEBUTS WITH BRITISH-MADE, BUDGET HIFI RANGE
Today marks the official launch of Fell Audio, a new British audio brand set to “redefine budget-friendly HiFi”.
The British HiFi brand has a 50-year legacy through connections with Peter Tyson, a British HiFi retailer, Fell Audio is stepping into the audio industry with a focus on affordable, high-quality, and entirely British-made products.
BUDGET BUT SUSTAINABLE
With a commitment to sustainable practices and repairability, Fell Audio promises value without sacrificing the quality that audiophiles expect.
FELL AUDIO FELL AMP
At the forefront of Fell Audio’s offerings is the Fell Amp, priced at £599. This integrated amplifier delivers 89 watts per channel through a Class D design, ensuring dynamic and efficient performance. A built-in MM phono stage allows seamless turntable integration, while an ESS Sabre DAC, typically found in pricier models, enhances audio quality across digital inputs. The Fell Amp also supports aptX HD Bluetooth streaming, adding convenience for music lovers who value flexibility.
Design-wise, the Fell Amp incorporates intuitive features such as capacitive-touch light-up buttons and straightforward input labels, like ‘Stream,’ ‘Vinyl,’ and ‘Bluetooth.’ Volume control is indicated through a playful LED display that “goes up to 11,” a nod to British culture, and a remote control is included. Audiophiles will appreciate the high-quality ESS Sabre ES9018K2M DAC, which provides 32-bit HyperStream architecture and a Time Domain Jitter Eliminator for ultra-low noise and broad dynamic range. Additional features include line-level inputs, preamp and subwoofer outputs, and a ¼-inch headphone jack for personal listening.
FELL AUDIO FELL DISC
Complementing the Fell Amp is the Fell Disc, a £499 CD player. The design combines retro-modern aesthetics, featuring a discreet slot-load mechanism and a dot matrix display alongside sleek capacitive-touch controls. Compatible with CD, CD-R, and CD-RW formats, the Fell Disc supports legacy collections while catering to new enthusiasts discovering physical media.
The Fell Disc features the ESS ES9018 DAC, delivering up to 96 kHz/24-bit audio quality, a significant offering for a player at this price point. Connectivity options include optical and coaxial digital outputs, ensuring easy integration with various systems and future-proofing its compatibility with external DACs.
FELL AUDIO AVAILABILITY AND PRICING
The Fell Amp is priced at £599, while the Fell Disc is available for £499. The brand is available now in the UK and plans to expand into Europe and other regions in 2025.
