Previewed at High End Munich 2024, the Fyne Audio Gold SP Series brings Dr. Paul Mills’ vision to life, the ”perfect fusion of vintage aesthetics from the glory HiFi days and modern audio engineering”.

The Fyne Audio Vintage Classic Gold SP Series is a four model lineup, hand-built in their new factory in Scotland. Made with high-density birch ply cabinets, advanced IsoFlare drivers with FyneFlute surround, and patented BassTrax system. We heard the 15 inch driver model at the Hong Kong AV Show 2024.

Fyne Audio’s Vintage Classic Gold SP series takes retro-inspired loudspeakers to the next level, blending timeless design with high-end audio engineering, Fyne Audio tells us. The Gold SP bridges the gap between the sleek, vintage aesthetic of the Classic Series and the cutting-edge performance of the flagship Vintage Series.

MADE IN SCOTLAND

Crafted in Fyne’s Glasgow factory, the Gold SP keeps the iconic rectangular cabinet shape but enhances it with high-density birch ply construction and upgraded IsoFlare drivers, now featuring a neodymium tweeter for more precise sound. With a refined BassTrax 360-degree porting system, expect deeper, more articulate bass that elevates your listening experience.

Positioned between the Classic and flagship Vintage series, the Gold SP models aim to offer both aesthetic appeal and superior sound performance.

CRAFTSMANSHIP AND DESIGN

The Vintage Classic Gold SP Series retains the iconic rectangular cabinet shape, enhanced with high-density birch ply construction for improved acoustic properties. The cabinets feature a luxurious walnut veneer finish, accented by gold-anodized metalwork.

ADVANCED ISOFLARE POINT SOURCE DRIVER

Central to the series is the upgraded IsoFlare™ point source driver, designed to deliver exceptional stereo imaging and sound clarity. This design ensures consistent sound dispersion, providing an immersive listening experience even off-axis. The larger models (10, 12, and 15-inch) feature a titanium alloy compression tweeter with neodymium magnets, while the 8-inch model uses a magnesium dome, all aimed at reducing distortion and extending frequency response.

BASSTRAX TRACTRIX DIFFUSER SYSTEM

The Gold SP Series incorporates Fyne Audio’s refined BassTrax Tractrix diffuser system. This downward-firing port system disperses bass energy uniformly across the room, resulting in deeper and more articulate bass performance. The design also reduces sensitivity to room placement, allowing for flexible positioning without compromising sound quality.

PREMIUM CROSSOVER COMPONENTS

Each model in the series is equipped with a bi-wired passive crossover, utilizing premium audiophile components such as high-grade polypropylene capacitors and low-loss laminated iron core inductors. The crossovers undergo Deep Cryogenic Treatment to enhance signal transfer, contributing to a natural and transparent sound. Adjustable controls for High Frequency Energy and Presence allow users to fine-tune the sound to match room acoustics and personal preferences.
