GIK ACOUSTICS ARE COLLECTING TO HELP REFUGEES

GIK Acoustics, the well known global manufacturer of acoustic room treatment, is doing its bit to help refugees from the war in Ukraine.

Kielce, Poland the location of one of GIK’s European manufacturing facilities. Refugees escaping the war in Ukraine are currently being housed all over Poland and many have arrived in Kielce, where they are being housed in hotels and in churches.

GIK Acoustics are able to take supplies directly to the refugee centres in Kielce, Poland

The refugees, mostly women and children have arrived in Poland with no or very few belongings. They desperately need basic supplies: hygiene products for adults and children, food, water, pasta, canned food, disposable dishes, medicines, batteries, flashlights, blankets, chargers etc

The citizens of Poland are doing everything they can to help and so are GIK. Piotr and Monika, the Plant Manager and Office Manager from GIK’s Kielce branch are taking donations to the centres.

GIK has donated a van full of supplies themselves and is now also taking donations from their customers via donations to their Paypal account.

Dave Shevyn from GIK Acoustics told us: “We wanted to help as Kielce itself already has lots of refugees. From the centres in Kielce, they are also taking the supplies into Ukraine itself to help those who are there. We kicked this off with a £1,000 and I am pleased to say we have already raised another £2k. That is enough for another three van loads so far”.

GIK Acoustics can take monetary donations to their PayPal account [email protected] under the title REFUGEE APPEAL and they will continue to buy those basic supplies and distribute them to where they are needed.
