GOLDRING RE-ENTERS THE TURNTABLE MARKET WITH THE GOLDRING GR3
Goldring, known for their phono cartridges, has announced the Goldring GR3 turntable, its first turntable in more than 20 years.
The GR3 represents Goldring’s stylish re-entry into the turntable arena. Developed in collaboration with a well-known British HiFi manufacturer, the Goldring GR3 turntable is equipped with the Goldring E3 moving magnet cartridge, offering true plug-and-play functionality.
GOLDRING GR3 TURNTABLE
Its built-in phono pre-amplifier allows compatibility with any amplifier or powered speaker, making it an ideal companion for products from sister company, Q Acoustics, such as its M20 and M40 powered stereo speakers. Additionally, GR3 comes with a choice of high-quality interconnects from Goldring’s other sister brand QED.
GOLDRING E3 CARTRIDGE
The Goldring GR3 turntable comes equipped with a pre-fitted Goldring E3 moving magnet cartridge, widely regarded for its high performance and precision. The cartridge, is pre-installed and perfectly aligned, providing accurate tracking, reduced distortion, and enhanced musical detail. The turntable also features a built-in phono stage, allowing it to be connected to any amplifier or powered speaker without the need for an external preamp, making it a versatile and convenient option for users.
PHENOLIC RESIN PLATTER
In terms of engineering, the GR3 employs a phenolic resin platter designed for speed stability and minimal audio distortion. The platter’s flywheel effect helps maintain consistent rotational speed, with minimal wow and flutter. Additionally, Goldring offers a choice of QED interconnects, either a 1.5 m phono-to-phono or a 3 m phono-to-3.5 mm cable.
The GR3 also has an elegant design, featuring a high-gloss black plinth paired with a perspex dust cover. This aesthetic combines premium performance with a sleek, modern look, making it suitable for a wide range of interiors.
