HEXMAT ECLIPSE ISOLATOR
Zsolt Fajt from Budapest is the creator of the Hexmat Isolator for turntables.
Back in 2020, Alan McIntosh reviewed the Hexmat Yellow Bird isolator for HiFi Pig. Now, Zsolt has produced a new upgraded Hexmat, the Hexmat Eclipse.
HEXMAT ECLIPSE
For the new Hexmat Eclipse, the contact surface has been reduced between the body and the spheres for better vibration control. Zsolt tells us that: “This helps to make the background much more transparent compared to the Hexmat Yellow Bird”.
EXTRUDED POLYMER
The body is a 2mm extruded polymer blend that was developed to increase the damping coefficient. This extruded polymer blend is produced exclusively for Hexmat. The body shape is cut from the extruded polymer material by a precision laser cutting machine. After a long process of cleaning and polishing, Zsolt manually mounts fifteen 3mm diameter spheres individually into the holes with a specifically designed tool. The overall thickness of the Hexmat Eclipse is 3mm.
ANTI STATIC
The Hexmat Eclipse is compatible with all 7”,10” and 12” records, has full torque transfer and the same Anti-Static and Anti-magnetic features as the Hexmat Yellow Bird. It is shipped in a protective case, which Hexmat advise to always use if the mat is being stored or transported.
