HEXMAT MOLEKULA AND MOLEKULA MINI RECORD CLAMPS LAUNCHED

Makers of the Hemat Yellow Bird and Hexmat Eclipse turntable mats launch the new Hexmat Molekula Record Clamp and Molekula Mini Record Clamp.

The Hexmat Molekula record clamp has been created by Zsolt Fajt from Budapest and has only six contact points with the record. It is designed to efficiently transfer torque whilst dampening harmful resonances and frequencies.

HEXMAT MOLEKULA RECORD CLAMP

Molekula tightens up on the turntable spindle with its structure pressing down the record with the help of the six, specially coated, 7mm diameter, embedded translucent spheres. The technique is designed to eliminate micro-movements of the record, such as micro-slips and slides.

Hexmat tell us that the Molekula, when properly applied, exerts a pressure of 1kg per sphere on the record, securing it and effectively reducing micro-slides.

HEXMAT ECLIPSE

The polymer-blend material used for Molekula is the same as that used for the Hexmat Eclipse. Molekula is only 17grams and is designed so that this light weight does not affect the operation of the turntable and does not overload the bearings or damage the records. It can be used with other turntable mats on the market as well as the Hexmat Yellow Bird or Hexmat Eclipse.

MOLEKULA MINI

Molekula requires a minimum 6mm spindle length from the top of the record. For shorter spindles, Hexmat has also released the Molekula Mini. Molekula Mini is a redesigned low-profile Molekula for turntables with a short spindle, like Rega turntables. Molekula Mini only requires 3mm-5.5mm spindle length.
