HIFIMAN HE1000 UNVEILED AND HiFiMAN ANANDA-BT LAUNCHING AT CANJAM SOCAL 2024

HIFIMAN will unveil two new additions to its high-end headphone lineup at CanJam SoCal 202.

These are the HiFiMAN HE1000 Unveiled and an updated version of the HiFiMAN ANANDA-BT wireless model, both of which showcase the company’s latest innovations in planar magnetic technology.

HIFIMAN HE1000 UNVEILED HEADPHONES

The HE1000 Unveiled, priced at $2,699, is the newest model in HIFIMAN’s HE1000 series of planar magnetic headphones. It integrates several of the company’s technologies to deliver an improved listening experience. Among its key features is HIFIMAN’s proprietary Stealth Magnet technology, which employs an asymmetrical, double-sided magnetic circuit. This design optimises sound transmittance by adjusting the magnet’s gap and shape around the diaphragm, reducing distortion.

MAGNETIC VEIL

A standout feature of the HE1000 Unveiled is its removable back panel, dubbed the “Magnetic Veil.” This panel, crafted using CNC technology, helps protect the ear cups from damage caused by magnetic objects when the headphones are not in use. The Magnetic Veil also eliminates sound wave reflections and refractions from the grill, ensuring a fully open diaphragm. The HE1000 Unveiled is positioned as the top model in the HE1000 series and builds on the success of previous iterations, offering significant enhancements for Headfi audiophiles, says HiFiMAN.

HiFiMAN ANANDA-BT HEADPHONES

HIFIMAN has also responded to customer demand for an updated version of its ANANDA-BT wireless headphones, priced at $799. The new ANANDA-BT model incorporates several technological improvements while maintaining the core design that made the original popular among audiophiles.

WIRELESS STREAMING

This updated model supports wireless streaming at high-fidelity bit rates, offering up to 24Bit/96kHz audio via Bluetooth and up to 24Bit/192kHz through a USB connection. The ANANDA-BT is compatible with high-resolution audio codecs such as LDAC™, aptX™, and aptX-HD™, ensuring excellent audio signal transmission across a range of devices, including phones and digital audio players.

STEALTH MAGNET TECH

One of the key upgrades in this new version is the integration of HIFIMAN’s Stealth Magnet technology, which minimises interference by allowing sound waves to pass through without obstruction. This reduces distortion and ensures more accurate sound reproduction. Additionally, the new ANANDA-BT features HIFIMAN’s R2R DAC (digital-to-analogue converter), which improves the efficiency of power handling and lowers energy consumption, while also enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio and reducing harmonic distortion.

Another notable improvement is the inclusion of the NEO “supernano” Diaphragm (NsD), which is 80% thinner than previous versions, allowing for faster response and a more detailed sonic image. The new ANANDA-BT also includes a built-in microphone, making it suitable for calls and gaming, and features a hybrid headband and window shade grill design for enhanced comfort and clarity.

Both the HE1000 Unveiled and the updated ANANDA-BT will make their debut at CanJam SoCal 2024, taking place this weekend, 28^th and 29^th September, in Irvine, California.
