HIGH END MUNICH 2022 SHOW REPORT BIRD’S EYE VIEW PART 5

The great thing about High End Munich is there are surprises and delights at every turn, here Lin covers Kharma, Purist Audio Design with Doshi and Joseph Audio, Linn and Solid Sounds, Innuos, Goldenear, Avantgarde Acoustic, Rockport and Absolare and Audiaz.

What can I say about the ultra High End HiFi brand from the Netherlands Kharma? They always deliver a masterclass on how to do a HiFi Show. They bring everything, from the full system including the huge speakers to the walls, the room treatment and even the floor, yes the floor is branded Kharma. Totally nuts, they must spend a week setting up and are always perfect. The Kharma gear on show was the Exquisite Grand 3.0 loudspeakers, power amplifier was the Enigma Veyron MP1000, pre the Exquisite P1000 plus the Enigma Veyron audio racks and Enigma Veyron and Exquisite cables. A hefty dose of dCS was also in there.

Purist Audio Design hail from the USA and make cables and power products, always a pleasure to see them and catch up with Kimberly Stahl. They never fail to deliver a lively sounding system with Doshi Audio Amps and Joseph Audio speakers, again a nice room to catch five minutes of relaxation and listening.

Iconic Scottish brand Linn had a large room in  Atrium 4, and they needed it, it was packed when we were there with the crowds loving the system with Klimax 350 speakers and Linn Klimax DSM..also, of course, an LP12 off to the side. Kudos to Linn for showcasing a rack in the system from a boutique UK rack manufacturer, Paul Knipe of Solid Sounds, his bespoke ladder Rack looked perfect with the Linn gear. As always team Linn were putting on a great show for the crowds, very slick and professional.

Innuos are another HiFi show veteran brand, their demos are always excellent. When we popped in co-founder Nuno was demonstrating the new power supply upgrade for the Innuos Statement flagship music server. great to catch up with the other co-founder Amelia too, she introduced the new Innuos Pulse series which you can read more about here.

Goldenear, a brand that always delivers excellent sound and value for money.

The Avantgarde Acoustic room at Munich is always great fun, they had the new Trio G3, probably the biggest ‘plug and play’ system there is in it’s fully active state, with the new styling of speakers and Spacehorns looking really cool. Also note the new generation of Duos and Unos in the photos. The Trio G3 system officially launched over in Chicago last month at AXPONA, with Angie Lisi, their North America and Canada distributor…she was also at the show and it was great to catch up with her plus Holger and Armin from Avantgarde. They were playing some crazy German music, I have no idea what it was but the (huge) crowd loved it with folks dancing in the aisles…what hiFi should be, total fun!

Rockport and Absolare are always a great combination.

Audiaz had some lovely speakers, the angles of the top and mid-range gave great spaciousness to the sound.
