HYPOSTATIC LOUDSPEAKERS OF FINLAND RELEASE THE NEW BLACKBIRD

The Hypostatic Blackbird is a small floor standing loudspeaker. Its hybrid construction brings together a monopole woofer unit with a curved magnetostatic dipole driver.

The woofer unit is made of steel and the side panels are birch plywood. The panels are colored with a stain and matte finished with a special oil wax which is based on natural plant raw materials.

Hypostatic designed their own CMD driver (curved magnetostatic dipole) which produces the mid and high frequencies, they have a thin and light diaphragm which is curved to avoid excess directivity at high frequencies. The driver uses super strong neodymium magnets.

Hypostatic is a trademark of the Absolute Dimension Oy company, founded in 2018 and located in Finland. Their first model Indigenum was presented in the same year and the second model, Verus in 2020. During the pandemic, the team had plenty of time to think about their products and decided to design a new speaker model called Blackbird. The previous models are now discontinued.
