HARMAN LUXURY AUDIO JBL CLASSIC SERIES BLACK EDITION LOUDSPEAKERS AT CEDIA EXPO 2022

Harman Luxury Audio Group announced that it will feature a special Black Edition of its JBL Classic Series passive HiFi and powered streaming loudspeakers at CEDIA Expo 2022.

Available on four models, the passive hi-fi L100, L82, and L52, and the powered streaming L75ms music system, the special production versions all include the Black Edition Appearance package for a stylish new look. At the same time, the L100 and L82 also feature the Black Edition Performance Package for improvements over the standard Classic models.

JBL CLASSIC SERIES BLACK EDITION LOUDSPEAKERS

With the JBL Classic Series Black Edition Loudspeakers package, the enclosures of the L100, L82, L52, and L75ms have been treated to a multi-step, labour-intensive painting process that starts with a black base coat and ends with a high-gloss finish, resulting in a mirror-like exterior that reflects its surroundings. The high-gloss process also provides a subtle radius to the edges of the cabinet, giving it a softer look overall. To compliment the black cabinets, the passive HiFimodels feature special gold labels on the front around the attenuator level controls and the rear above the input terminal cup. Black Quadrex foam grilles are accented with unique gold JBL badges to identify these models as special-edition products.

JBL L100 & L82 BLACK EDITION

For the larger L100 and L82 passive HiFi models, the Black Edition Performance Package includes an upgraded woofer design that benefits from improvements to its linearity, which, says Harman, helps reduce distortion. The tweeter and midrange drivers have also been treated to refinements that aim to deliver higher performance levels. Additional upgrades include a change to the crossover design to provide dual inputs for bi-wiring applications, while a new input terminal cup has dual sets of premium gold-plated binding post terminals for a secure connection to a variety of loudspeaker cables and connector types.

Harman will be exhibiting its latest solutions from its JBL Synthesis, JBL, ARCAM, and Revel brands at CEDIA Expo 2022, being held from September 29th to October 1st in Dallas. In booth 16035, the spotlight will be on JBL Synthesis architectural loudspeakers and electronics; JBL’s new Stage 2 and Studio 6 Architectural Series loudspeakers; and four new ARCAM HDMI 2.1 AV receivers and processors. Additional new products on display will include JBL’s all-weather Stage XD Series, Limited-Run Classic Series Black Edition loudspeakers and music system, and the 4305P Studio Monitor-powered streaming loudspeaker system.
