LOCKWOOD LOUDSPEAKERS SHOWCASE THEIR RANGE AT THE BRISTOL HIFI SHOW
Lockwood Loudspeakers have announced they will demonstrate their British loudspeakers at the Bristol HiFi show 2023.
Lockwood Loudspeakers will be demonstrating three pairs of loudspeakers from their portfolio.
LOCKWOOD LOUDSPEAKERS
Lockwood Loudspeakers can trace its roots back to the 1930s when the company was founded by carpenter Stanley Timms. Following a pause in production due to the second world war, Lockwood worked closely with engineers at the BBC to develop what was to become the Lockwood Monitors. These legendary loudspeakers became renowned for their sound quality and were used during the recording and mixing of many of the greatest albums of all time. The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Rollings Stones, Queen, Led Zeppelin and thousands of artists around the world recorded using Lockwood monitors as they became standard fittings in many of the world’s top recording studios, including Abbey Road and The Rollings Stones’ ground-breaking mobile studio.
FLAGSHIP LOCKWOOD LE1
Visitors to the show can experience these original recordings and many more played through Lockwood’s loudspeakers. On demonstration will be the Lockwood Mini (10” driver) stand-mount loudspeakers accompanied by two floor-standing models, the Lockwood Academy (12” driver) and the flagship Lockwood LE1 (15” drivers).
MADE IN THE UK
All Lockwood Loudspeakers are hand-assembled and crafted in the UK using original designs from the 1960s. They feature dual concentric drive units, high-quality crossovers with audiophile-grade components, low-loss binding posts, and internal OFC cabling. Custom finishes can be ordered, and customers are welcome to visit Lockwood’s production facility and demonstration room.
