iFi Audio say they are pleased to announce that Miles Roberts is joining the team as Business Development Manager EMEA on 1 July 2019.

Miles brings a wealth of audio industry experience, most recently at highly respected loudspeaker manufacturer PMC where he was Export Director for the last 15 years. He oversaw consistent growth throughout this period, developing an enviable global distribution network.

His career to date has encompassed roles in both consumer and professional audio. He started out as a technical engineer with Soundcraft in the early 1980s, subsequently moving to technical sales and management roles. He has experience of all aspects of professional audio, including studio production, broadcast sound in radio and television, post-production and film mixing.

In the early 1990s, Miles was involved in pioneering installations of audio playout over computer networks for both the BBC and independent radio stations including Piccadilly Radio in Manchester, which featured early encoded digital audio. While at Solid State Logic, he placed the first digital mixing console with the BBC for live broadcasts of The Proms.

His management experience includes roles as UK Sales Manager for Studer, Head of Sales at Solid State Logic and Managing Director of Euphonix Europe.

Speaking about his appointment, Miles said: “iFi is a young, vibrant company producing a multi-award-winning range of ‘audio essentials’ to use in the home, on the move or in the studio. From vinyl records to the latest hi-res digital formats, these products make the most of music through a class-leading mix of great sound, useful features and innovative design. I look forward to further strengthening the company’s market channels in both consumer and professional audio, as well as offering support to its existing distribution network throughout the EMEA region.”

Vincent Luke, Sales Director at iFi Audio, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Miles to the team. iFi has grown exponentially since we started the company in 2012 and his experience and expertise – not to mention his bulging contacts book – will prove hugely valuable as we continue our exciting journey towards audio nirvana through 2019 and beyond!”
