ModWright KWA 99 Monoblock Amplifiers
Retail Price: $9000/Pair USD
The ModWright KWA 99 monoblock amplifiers set a new benchmark in power, refinement, size, and performance. Designed for 100W power into 8 ohms, 200W into 4 oms, Class A-B design with high Class A bias, they provide power and performance. Each monoblock amplifier is in a compact enclosure at 10.5”W x 6.5”H x 16”D and weighs 30 lbs. each. In keeping with the PH 9.0 series of phono preamp, LS 99 balanced tube preamp and Analog Bridge, the compact 10”W chassis makes them space efficient. Designed around Exicon Lateral Mosfets and fitted with retro-style, amber backlit VU meters, the KWA 99 amps sound as good as they look. Class A-B design with a high Class A bias that insures the usable watts are in Class A, giving them both detail and dynamics, as well as organic tone and balance. Featuring both RCA and fully balanced XLR inputs, 26dB gain and remote 12V triggers, allows the KWA 99 monoblock amplifiers to suit any system and drive virtually any speaker.
ModWright LS 99 Balance Tube Preamplifier
Retail Price: $6500 USD
Based on ModWright’s Reference LS 300 fully balanced and dual mono tube preamp, the LS 99 takes the same spirit and performance, while conserving space with the 10”W x 4.5”H x 12”D footprint. Tube rectified with 6922 drivers, 30K input impedance and frequency response flat to 150Khz, the LS 99 provides the drive, resolution, body, weight, and 3-D soundstage of the best tube preamp designs. The design features an outboard supply, fully balanced inputs and outputs, RCA inputs and outputs, Home Theater Bypass and 12V remote trigger for use with KWA 99 monoblocks or other amp with triggered inputs.
ModWright KWH 225i Hybrid Integrated Amplifier
Retail Price: $9750 USD
The KWH 225i represents the culmination of years of solid-state amplifier and tube preamplifier designs. Our preferred approach has always been that of a hybrid system. We combined the solid-state output stage of our Reference KWA 150SE amp, increasing power to 225W with a tube preamplifier stage. All of this, fully integrated into a high power and high-performance hybrid integrated amplifier. Weighing 64 lbs. and sized at 17”W x 17”D x 6.5”H, it incorporates remote controlled power, volume, mute, input select and display brightness. The design features RCA inputs, one pair of XLR inputs and Home Theater Bypass. The tube complement is (2)6922/6dj8/7308’s, designed with zero global negative feedback and combining the raw power of solid stage amplification with the body, weight and tonality of tubes.
ModWright PH 9.0 /PH 9.0X / PH 9.0XT Tube Phono Stage
Retail Price: PH 9.0: $3500 USD – PH 9.0X: $4750 USD – PH 9.0XT: $5250 USD
Following in the footsteps of the Reference PH 150, the PH 9.0/X/T offers the same performance and flexibility, at a lower price and smaller form factor than the Reference line. The PH 9.0/X/T phono stage uses (2)6C45 tubes and (2)6922/6dj8/7308 driver tubes. The ‘T’ design also includes a 5AR4 tube rectifier. The PH 9.0 series of phono preamps also offer MC loading, MM/MC input, stereo/mono input, and adjustable gain (0, -6dB, -12dB) all on-the-fly, making this one of the most flexible and high-performance tube phono stages available at anywhere near its price point. There is a good reason why the PH 9.0 series of phono preamps have won numerous awards and are ModWright’s best-selling product of all time by volume.
The PH 9.0X adds balanced outputs, +6dB more gain and improved sonics over the standard PH 9.0, featuring the final output stage of the Reference PH 150 phono. The PH 9.0XT adds a high volage pre-regulator and tube rectification to the outboard supply, adding more body and 3-dimensional soundstage. ModWright now offers a Reference phono umbilical as an additional upgrade.
ModWright Analog Bridge Balanced Tube Analog Processor
Retail Price: $3900 USD
The Analog Bridge was designed to provide a way to introduce tubes into an all solid-state system and improve digital sources that lack the body, weight, and 3-D soundstage that only tubes can deliver. More importantly, the Analog Bridge adds the positive quality of tubes, but adds no noise or appreciable distortion (< .005% THD), has a flat frequency response to beyond 150Khz and output impedance of 20 ohms. Available with fully balanced inputs and outputs, the Analog Bridge can be used in any system, between source and preamp, preamp, and amp or between source and amp, assuming the source has a built-in volume control. The Analog Bridge is tube rectified and features parallel 6SN7 and 6922 tube stages that can be changed on-the-fly based on tonal preference.
