International consumer electronics show, IFA 2018, is underway in Berlin and MQA has a strong presence, with several partners showcasing new MQA-enabled products.
MQA integration continues with Sony’s iconic Walkman® brand with the NW-A50 series and DMP-Z1 model as the latest devices to implement MQA. MQA demonstrations will be available on the NW-WM1A model at the IFA Sony booth.
LG, who unveiled the first globally available MQA-enabled handset at last year’s IFA show, has since implemented MQA into a range of additional smartphones. At the LG stand this year, MQA hi-res playback will be demonstrated on some of its newest models, including the G7 ThinQ.
iFi Audio will be showing its EISA-award-winning xDSD DAC, which features MQA integration.
Technics announced a prototype of the Grand Class Network / Super Audio CD player which is on display at IFA. It will support MQA and various streaming services, as well as SACD.
