MUARAH LAUNCH NEWS TURNTABLE AND TONEARM AT THE AV SHOW WARSAW 2023
Muarah, a Polish HiFi brand known for its turntables and tube amplifiers, will unveil two new products during the upcoming Audio Video Show in Warsaw 2023.
MUARAH MT-3 TURNTABLE
The first of these is a new turntable, the MT-3 model. Unlike the previous designs, based on acrylic, this turntable’s plinth is constructed from a thick MDF board and finished in a satin black colour. The platter, like in other Muarah turntables, is made from black acrylic with a thickness of 30mm and a weight of approximately 2.5kg. Of note is the original integrated turntable mat design, reminiscent of the MT-2 Special Edition, which premiered during last year’s AVS exhibition.
The new turntable is compatible with tonearms that have an effective length of around 9 inches, which are among the most popular sizes. The design of the MT-3 model combines vintage aesthetics with modern technical solutions and materials, marking the introduction of a new turntable in Muarah’s product lineup.
MUARAH MY-1/9- TONEARM
The second new release is the Muarah MY-1/9- tonearm, fully designed and produced in Poland. It follows a classic Cardan arrangement using miniature ball bearings. With a length of 9 inches and an effective mass of 15g, it is a versatile tonearm suitable for use with popular phono cartridges. Until now, the Warsaw-based manufacturer has relied on tonearms from other recognized producers in Europe and Japan. Adding their own design to the lineup provides greater independence and opens a new chapter in the brand’s history.
This premiere tonearm, the MY-1/9, is a preview of a series of tonearms featuring the Muarah logo.
MUARAH MY-1/9- TONEARM AND MUARAH MT-3 TURNTABLE PRICE
MT-3- retail price at the time of launch: 3,536€ (including the MY-1/9 tonearm)
MY-1/9- retail price at the time of the launch: 1,968€ (for the tonearm alone)
