NAGRA REFERENCE AMP AND PREAMP LAUNCHED

Nagra has unveiled its latest additions to its Reference line of high-end audio components, the new Nagra Reference AMP and Nagra Reference PREAMP.

NAGRA REFERENCE AMP

Building on the design of the Nagra HD AMP, the  Nagra Reference AMP delivers substantial upgrades. With a 25% larger power supply and numerous mechanical and electronic improvements, the amplifier is designed to handle everything from delicate chamber music to powerful electronica.

The Reference AMP includes new uprated 2000 VA transformers, advanced decoupling feet, an upgraded input circuit with low impedance, and increased Class A operation. It features enhanced internal cables from a renowned high-end manufacturer, WBT Next-Gen speaker posts, and refined mechanical damping to minimise vibrations. The amplifier is presented in a redesigned case with Nagra’s signature chamfering and a REF medallion, aligning with the Reference series aesthetic.

NAGRA REFERENCE PREAMP

First introduced in 2017 and updated in 2020, the Nagra HD PREAMP has now evolved into the Reference PREAMP. The new design benefits from the insights gained through Nagra’s other Reference products, such as their turntable and phono stage.

Upgrades to the Reference PREAMP include custom-made capacitors, advanced high-voltage power supplies, and dual-chassis power configurations for superior audio and control signal separation. Additional features include improved mechanical damping and an optional dual-power supply system that enhances performance when added, Nagra tells us Like the Reference AMP, the PREAMP also sports the REF medallion to signify its place in Nagra’s top-tier product family.
