The New Spendor A7 (£2,995.00 pair inc VAT) is a major revision of the Spendor’s A6R floor standing loudspeaker. They are 100% designed and manufactured in the UK.

At the heart of the A7 is a new Spendor designed and engineered 180mm bass-mid drive unit. It features an EP77 polymer cone and new surround and suspension materials with thermal and mechanical stability.

The A7 features a new crossover and a 22mm wide-surround tweeter with a unique diaphragm profile and a protective mesh grille. Spendor’s solution to damping is Dynamic Damping. Small low mass constrained polymer dampers at key energy interface points convert any spurious energy in the cabinet into inaudible heat.

Internal cables are high-grade silver plated pure copper with halogen free dielectric. The base of the plinth has four machined steel stabiliser inserts. These contribute to the neat appearance and stability of the slim cabinets. The stabilisers are secured directly into the main structure of the cabinet so that micro-movement or flexing of the plinth and feet is eliminated. Available finishes are black ash, dark walnut, natural oak and satin white. The plinth has a contrasting black satin lacquer finish.
