ORTOFON AS-212R AND ORTOFON AS-309R NEW REFERENCE TONEARMS LAUNCHED

Ortofon has introduced two new reference tonearms, the Ortofon AS-212R 9 inch model and Ortofon AS-309R 12 inch.

The two new models draw from the legacy of Ortofon’s classic AS-212 and AS-309 models.

PRECISION ENGINEERING AND HAND ASSEMBLY

With over 130 redesigned components the new Ortofon Reference tonearms are crafted with mechanical and skilled artisans hand assemble, adjust, and review every component of each tonearm.

ORTOFON AS-212R AND ORTOFON AS-309R REFERENCE TONEARMS

Every individual component of the new tonearms has been upgraded with materials chosen to minimize unwanted vibration and distortion.

Both the AS-212 9-inch and AS-309R 12-inch models conform with Baerwald alignment are equipped with a universal connector, and supplied with two counterweight sizes, so the tonearms allow the use of nearly all cartridges, ranging from SPU to headshell mounted cartridges.

HIGH-END TONEARM CABLE

The Ortofon 6NX-TSW1010 tonearm cable is included as part of the accessories supplied together with each tonearm. Japanese custom made high-precision bearings together with ultra-thin oxygen free copper inner wires have been used to ensure ease of s movement and signal transmission.

REFERENCE QUALITY FINISH

A luxurious finish in matte black and silver chrome adorns the more than 130 high precision machined parts specifically developed and manufactured for the two tonearm models.
