Pangea Audio Distributing has introduced the Pangea Audio Turntable Wall Mounted Premier SE Shelf MKII, a new wall-mount turntable shelf that can support turntables weighing up to 40 lbs.

The shelf is an upgrade to its predecessor, the Vulcan Turntable Wall-mount Shelf, with improved weight capacity and features that made it particularly suited to the specialty audio and custom installation channels.

The Premier SE Shelf MKII is designed to eliminate vibrations that can affect performance. It features a one-piece steel U-frame, steel backplate, and a non-resonant MDF shelf insert with adjustable metal spikes for levelling. The shelf also includes backplate slots for convenient mounting to studs spaced 16″ on centre, with left/right adjustability after mounting. It has a 1″ gap between the shelf and the backplate for cable management, providing a clutter-free appearance.

CUSTOM INSTALL

The shelf is suitable for both end-users and custom installation specialists who prefer wall-mounting their turntables to save space and enhance the room’s decor. It can be mounted on various surfaces, including wall studs, masonry, brick/concrete, and thick wood panelling. The package includes all necessary mounting hardware and an illustrated installation guide.

According to Steve Niemi, the Director of Global Sales at Pangea Audio, the new shelf was developed in response to the increasing demand for a wall-mount capable of holding heavier, high-end turntables. The previous model sold out quickly whenever it was restocked, and dealers requested a version that could accommodate premium audiophile models.
