Hifi Pig is delighted to announce that legendary Hifi writer Paul Messenger will be joining the writing team with immediate effect.
Paul Messenger needs no introduction and anyone with even a passing interest in the Hifi scene will know the name, will know his writing and many will have met him at the various shows he still attends.
Paul has been an avid music fan since his student days and is still a keen enthusiast of the music of the fifties and sixties, with his first forays into Hifi coming in the late sixties and his “Road to Damascus” moment coming when he bought one of the very first pairs of Spendor BC1s.
Paul has been Deputy Editor of Hi-Fi News, Editor of Hi-Fi Choice, Publisher of Link House’ Audio group (Hi-Fi News and Studio Sound) where he remained for a couple of years before turning freelance and eventually returning to Hi-Fi Choice and being responsible for its relaunch, though still in a freelance capacity. He has contributed to Hifi Choice, Stereophile, Hifi + and BAJ. In more recent years Paul has been heavily involved with Hifi CRITIC.
We are delighted to welcome Paul to the Hifi Pig team where he will be publishing a monthly column as well as carrying out reviews. To say we are thrilled to have such a high-profile figure as part of the Hifi Pig team is something of an understatement.
