Pioneer’s ‘Scene Style’ series adds new range-topping noise-cancelling wireless headphones supporting Hi-Res Audio and Google Assistant

Pioneer has added the S9 wireless noise-cancelling headphones (SE-MS9BN) optimised for the Google Assistant and Hi-Res Audio to its Scene Style series. The S9 features large 40mm diameter rare-earth-magnet drivers to enable Hi-Res Audio reproduction, and the headphones support Qualcomm aptX HD audio*3 for playback liberated by the freedom of a wireless connection.

Buttons and a microphone on the headphone housing allow the listener to easily adjust the volume, skip tracks, and take calls*. The S9 also features NFC functionality for instant device pairing. A maximum continuous transmission time of 27 hours (NC OFF/including music playback time) extends entertainment between battery recharges.

In addition to AAC and Qualcomm aptX codecs, the S9 also supports Qualcomm’s aptX HD audio codec. Active noise-cancelling technology detects external sounds and generates frequencies in opposing phase to cancel them out. For situations where it’s desirable to hear some outside sound, Ambient Awareness Mode intelligently filters it in, for improved situational awareness.

Multi-Point Function allows two smartphones to be wirelessly connected to the headphones at the same time. Take calls with one phone and listen to music with another.
