The Onkyo and Pioneer Corporation has launched the 9.2-Ch VSX-LX303 and VSX-LX503 AV Receivers.
The VSX-LX303 features 4K HDR video support including HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma), Dolby Vision, and HDR10 formats, while Hi-Res Audio and a discrete phono stage join multi-room audio via 5 GHz/2.4 GHz Wi-Fi .
Chromecast is built-in allowing users to stream from Chromecast-enabled apps and enables voice control via devices featuring the Google Assistant, while DTS Play-Fi technology and FlareConnect are also included for multi-room platforms. Users can control audio with Pioneer Remote App or Pioneer Music Control App, which access entertainment services such as Amazon Music, TIDAL, TuneIn, Spotify, and Deezer. Rated at 170 W/Ch. £799.99, available in June (in black or silver).
The VSX-LX503 9.2-ch Network AV Receiver (pictured) is the next model up and is engineered for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X reproduction up to 7.2.4 channels. Rated at 180 W/ch, 6 ohms, 1 kHz, THD 1%, 1-ch driven. £999.99, also available in June (in black or silver).
