PRO-JECT CD BOX S3 AND PRO-JECT PHONO BOX E BT5 ARE THEIR FIRST NEW PRODUCTS OF 2022

Pro-Ject has launched two new products to kick-off 2022.

The new Pro-Ject Audio Systems gear to start the year are the Pro-Ject CD Box S3 CD player and the Pro-Ject Phono Box E BT5

PRO-JECT CD BOX S3

The new Pro-Ject CD Box S3 is the first member of the S3 line. The drive in the Pro-Ject CD Box S3 enables 1:1 bit-accurate CD playback. The new DAC chip provides the digital analogue conversion with a bit depth and sampling rate up to 32bit/384kHz. The slot in mechanism smoothly draws in the CD and after a few seconds it is ready to play.

Not only has the circuit design been reworked, the case has been significantly changed and the CD Box S3 introduces Pro-Ject’s completely new S3 size. Besides the new full aluminium casework in a black or silver finish, it also features a 1,54“ display with colour inversion function.

PRO-JECT PHONO BOX E BT5

The Pro-Ject Phono Box E BT5 is their new budget solution to connect your turntable or line-level device with the latest wireless technology. The Pro-Ject Phono Box E BT5 offers two separate inputs, a phono and a line level input, as well as two separate outputs. It can be used as an ordinary MM phono stage that connects to any HiFi amplifier via its line level output (3.5 mm jack) or it can be used as a Bluetooth 5.0 aptX and aptX HD streamer. It takes the provided analogue input signal, converts it and sends digital audio to any Bluetooth receiver within a 10 m range. Those devices could be either Bluetooth headphones, speakers or any other Bluetooth receiver.

Following on from Pro-Ject Audio’s VT-E BT they decided to create a phono preamplifier that turns any turntable (with moving magnet cartridge) into a modern Bluetooth streamer.
