PRO-JECT E1 PLUG-AND-PLAY TURNTABLE RELEASED IN THREE VARIANTS
Pro-Ject release a new entry level into HiFi vinyl playback.
Pro-Ject Audio Systems is reinvigorating its affordable turntable range with the Pro-Ject E1 plug-and-play turntable.
WITH OR WITHOUT PHONO AND BLUETOOTH
The Pro-Ject E1 is available in three different variants, to ensure you only get the features you require. The standard E1 is designed to be connected directly to an external phono stage, while the E1 Phono has one built-in. For those looking for the convenience of wireless transmission, the E1 BT has Bluetooth streaming built-in as well.
PRO-JECT E1 TURNTABLE FEATURES
The Pro-Ject E1 Plug-and-play manual turntable system features include electronically controlled playback speeds of 33 and 45 RPM. It has an 8.6” tonearm with aluminium tube, a two-point bearing assembly and a purpose-designed fixed headshell plus a pre-adjusted Ortofon OM 5E cartridge with an elliptical stylus profile. There is a sub-platter drive system and anti-resonant main platter made from strengthened ABS Polymer plus a DC drive motor with damped mounting for added isolation. The wooden main plinth is mounted on anti-vibration feet. They are handmade in Europe and the dust cover is included.
PLINTH AND PLATTER
The E1 is based around a stylish main plinth, directly inspired by other Pro-Ject designs. It is a CNC machined composite fibre platform, which contains no hollow spaces, and, says Pro-Ject has excellent antiresonance properties. Mounted inside the plinth is a precision belt drive system with a damped DC motor, attached to a sub-platter. The sub-platter drives the new ABS Polymer main platter, which is strengthened with purpose-designed ridges in order to create an anti-resonant platform for vinyl. Automatic speed change is handled by the 3 position power switch on the side of the plinth.
PRO-JECT E1 PHONO AND E1 BT
The E1 Phono features a built-in switchable Moving Magnet (MM) phono stage. The E1 BT features built-in switchable MM phono stage and Bluetooth wireless transmission, both models have gold-plated RCA connectors and a turntable-ready RCA cable is included.
