The world’s most expensive earphones go on sale in the UK, exclusively through Audio Concierge.
QDC, the Chinese based manufacturer of high-performance in-ear monitors has taken the concept to new heights with the release of the Blue Dragon. The new flagship is the result of eighteen months of design work and is a synthesis of everything that the company knows about the design and construction of earphones with a high-end level of design and finish.
In Ear Monitors
Earphones or In Ear Monitors, have finally emerged from the shadow of larger transducers to be seen as an area that deserves the same ground breaking engineering and fastidious attention to detail as other high-end Hifi categories
QDC Blue Dragon
The Blue Dragon is designed around the driver complement of the Anole VX. This means it makes use of no less than ten drivers in each enclosure. These are grouped together in order to produce a ultra high bandwidth soundstage. The output is adjustable to match your listening preferences. They also output via a unique audio cable. Called the Dragon Skin, it features gold plated pure sterling silver conductors, silver plated single crystal copper and an alloy using copper and palladium. It is terminated using a 2.5mm balanced connection for use on a wide range of portable audio players featuring this high quality output.
800 Sapphires
The enclosures that the drivers are placed in are a radical upgrade over the Anole VX and puts the Blue Dragon at the cutting edge of both engineering and art. They are made from sections of gold fused titanium in the pursuit of both light weight and complete inertness both in response to the drivers they contain and the outside world. These are ergonomically shaped to ensure that they achieve an exceptionally comfortable fit. Then, for the finishing touch to end all finishing touches, the housings are covered in no less than 800 sapphires.
Audio Concierge
The Blue Dragon is now available to buy in the UK exclusively via Audio Concierge, aach Blue Dragon takes 3 months to craft and is available to order now and costs £12,199.
