QOBUZ AND BLUE NOTE RECORDS LAUNCH GLOBAL INITIATIVE WITH EXCLUSIVE CONTENT TO BE RELEASED THROUGHOUT 2022
Qobuz has teamed up with jazz label Blue Note Records for a global initiative that will include exclusive playlists, and editorial and original video content with Blue Note artists.
The partnership will also feature download sales of Blue Notes’ extensive catalogue from the last 83 years.
QOBUZ AND BLUE NOTE RECORDS
To kick the initiative off over 200 albums, many in 24-bit Hi-Res, from the 1940s – 1970s are now on sale.
JAZZ
The Blue Note partnership cements Qobuz’s position in the Hi-Res streaming and download market for jazz-lovers, building upon previous exclusive releases and original content. Last year, Qobuz worked with Christian McBride to exclusively release and record an original EP, The Q Sessions, in Hi-Res.
In addition, Qobuz has provided jazz fans with a weekly live-streamed jam session led by jazz pianist Emmet Cohen at the start of the pandemic; exclusive panel discussions on legends of the genre such as Miles Davis and John Coltrane and a series of concerts (all being recorded for Hi-Res live albums) with International Anthem.
RECORD LABEL PARTNERSHIPS
The Blue Note partnership follows Qobuz’s other label partnerships with Zappa Records, Westbound Records, Secretly Group, International Anthem, Mercury KX, and others.
