THE SOUND ORGANISATION BRINGS REGA, CHORD ELECTRONICS, CHORD COMPANY, PROAC AND MORE TO AXPONA 2025

British brands aplenty with the Sound Organisation at AXPONA 2025.

REGA MERCURY AND SOLIS SEPARATES DEBUT IN THE US

The Sound Organisation is showcasing a significant milestone in Rega Research’s history at AXPONA 2025 with the US debut of its first-ever separates: the Rega Mercury Preamplifier and Rega Solis Power Amplifier. Marking a shift into new territory for the British brand, the Mercury and Solis are designed with fully discrete symmetrical circuitry, promising high-performance stereo amplification. The Mercury features a discrete headphone amp, onboard DAC with S/PDIF and USB inputs, and a full-colour IPS display. The Solis power amp delivers 168W per channel into 8 ohms and includes standby and protection circuitry, making it as practical as it is powerful.

REGA PLANAR 3 RS SPECIAL EDITION SPINS IN STYLE

Also making waves is the Rega Planar 3 RS Special Edition turntable. This limited edition variant of the iconic Planar 3 features a dark brushed aluminium laminate plinth with gloss black edging, making it as visually striking as it is technically advanced. Enhancements include the new ND5 moving magnet cartridge, a custom-tuned Neo MK2 power supply, and the Reference EBLT Drive Belt for improved speed accuracy. It’s paired with the classic RB330 tonearm, cementing its place as a standout in the sub-$2,000 category.

CHORD ELECTRONICS SUZI SYSTEM LAUNCHES STATESIDE

Chord Electronics’ newest modular solution, the Chord Suzi and Suzi Pre, makes its US debut at the show. Designed around ULTIMA amplifier topology, Suzi delivers 30W per channel and offers exceptional flexibility. It can be used as a standalone amplifier, or as part of a more complete system when paired with the Hugo 2 DAC or the 2go streamer. Whether in a pure analogue setup or a fully digital streaming configuration, Suzi is a compact yet capable addition to Chord’s distinctive range.

CHORD HUGO TT2 AND M SCALER COMPLETE THE DIGITAL FRONT END

Handling digital-to-analogue duties is the acclaimed Chord Hugo TT2 DAC, supported by the Chord Hugo M Scaler. Together, they offer one of the most sophisticated digital front ends available, with the M Scaler’s advanced upscaling capabilities unlocking the full potential of digital sources. This pairing will be on active display, showcasing the synergy between Chord’s core DAC technology and high-resolution digital processing.

CHORD COMPANY CELEBRATES 40 YEARS WITH SIGNATUREX AND SARUM T

Chord Company marks its 40th anniversary at AXPONA 2025 with a showcase of its acclaimed Signature cable range. On demo will be the new SignatureX Tuned ARAY interconnects and SignatureXL speaker cables, both handmade in the UK and refined over decades since the Signature line first launched in 1998. Chord Company’s proprietary ARAY mechanical tuning and advanced shielding underpin these designs. The system’s digital cabling will be provided by the Sarum T range, which features Super ARAY tuning and Taylon insulation—offering enhanced clarity and signal integrity. Visitors can also explore A/B comparisons between the Signature and Epic ranges, and experience Chord’s GroundARAY noise-reduction devices in action.

PROAC K3 LOUDSPEAKERS COMPLETE A BRITISH SYSTEM

Rounding out the system are the ProAc K3 loudspeakers. Compact yet full-range, the K3s use twin Kevlar bass/mid drivers and a central ribbon tweeter to deliver clarity and dynamics across a range of music. They are a natural match for the refined electronics on demo, showcasing British HiFi synergy at its best.
