REGA PLANAR 3 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION LAUNCHED

Celebrating their 50th anniversary, Rega has announced the Rega Planar 3 50th Anniversary Edition.

The Rega Planar 3 50th Anniversary Edition is turntable package developed to “maximise the performance from a Rega Planar 3”.

Available in the new walnut effect finish the 50th anniversary Planar 3 is supplied with a hand tuned Neo PSU MK2, to accurately set speed and minimise vibration, and the handmade Rega Exact moving magnet cartridge factory fitted.

The turntable features the RB330 precision tonearm, double brace technology and a 12mm float glass Opti-white platter.

REFERENCE DRIVE BELT AND PULLEY

The drive system uses the Rega reference drive belt and a custom CNC’d aluminium drive pulley (as used on Planar 6). The anniversary Edition is finished off with a custom aluminium lid and plinth badge and a smoked dustcover.

REGA PLANAR 3 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

Rega are not limiting numbers; however, they will only be offering the Anniversary Edition during 2023, the final chance to order will be December 2023.

The turntable is priced at UK SSP £899, a saving of £269 compared to purchasing a standard PL3 with Exact, reference drive belt and Neo PSU.
