REVOX ACQUIRES HORCH HOUSE
In a significant move that underscores its dedication to analogue audio, Revox has announced the acquisition of Horch House, a company that has established itself as a world leader in the analogue master tape industry over the past 15 years.
Under the guidance of Volker Lange, Horch House has built a reputation for unwavering quality and a passion for the authenticity of analogue sound.
This development comes as Revox reintroduces the legendary B77 tape machine, now reimagined as the B77 MK III. The new model represents a pivotal step in Revox’s strategy to expand its analogue product offerings, with more innovations planned for the future.
VOLKER LANGE JOINS REVOX TEAM
Volker Lange, a key figure in the world of analogue audio, will lead the newly established analogue division within the Revox Group. In addition to this role, he will join the Revox executive board, bringing his expertise and vision to the company’s leadership.
Christoph Frey, CEO of the Revox Group, commented on the acquisition:
“We are thrilled to strengthen our analogue branch with the addition of Horch House. This acquisition brings with it a wealth of licences with record labels, enabling us to broaden our range of analogue products, including master tapes. Production of the Revox Master Tapes has already commenced at our Villingen facility, and we plan to gradually integrate Horch House’s production into this operation.”
Frey also highlighted the importance of Volker Lange’s involvement, stating:
“Volker’s deep knowledge of the analogue music world has already been invaluable in shaping the features of the B77 MK III. Going forward, we are committed to offering not just exceptional products but also the necessary sound carriers to support them. This dual strategy—further developing our Multiuser System while expanding the analogue division—will be a cornerstone of our plans in the coming years.”
With this acquisition, Revox is not only paying homage to its storied past but also setting the stage for a vibrant future in the analogue audio market. Enthusiasts can look forward to a growing range of products that celebrate the richness and authenticity of analogue sound.
