ROTEL CD11MKII TRIBUTE CD PLAYER, ROTELL A11MKII TRIBUTE AND ROTEL A10MKII INTEGRATED AMPLIFIERS
Rotel upgrades the 14 Series with A10MKII, A11MKII, and CD11MKII Models.
Rotel, the Japanese audio equipment manufacturer, has unveiled three new and enhanced models in its h 14 Series line: the Rotel A10MKII Integrated Amplifier, Rotel A11MKII Integrated Amplifier, and Rotel CD11MKII CD Player.
NEW ROTEL 14 SERIES MKII MODELS
These new offerings feature component upgrades, sonic improvements, and additional functionality, aiming to deliver “higher resolution and detail while maintaining competitive pricing”.
KEN ISHIWATA
The A11MKII and CD11MKII represent upgraded versions of Rotel’s Tribute Series models, which were co-engineered with the late Ken Ishiwata, a revered figure in the audio industry. The company sought to enhance the performance of these models while staying true to Ishiwata’s design philosophy and paying homage to his 40+ year legacy.
ROTEL A10MKII INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
The A10MKII is a Class AB 2 x 50W (8 ohms) Integrated Amplifier that comes with a Moving Magnet Phono Stage and three RCA analogue source inputs. It is powered by an in-house manufactured toroidal transformer with robust filtering storage capacitors. The A10MKII features more than 67 component upgrades, particularly in the power and amplifier gain stage, resulting in improved resolution and detail. The amplifier offers precise adjustment of volume in the analogue domain and source selection through the included IR remote control. The front panel also includes bass, treble, and balance controls, along with a 3.5mm headphone output connector. On the rear panel, you’ll find a single set of speaker binding posts, dual 12V trigger outputs, and an automatic power control switch.
ROTEL A11MKII INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
The A11MKII, an upgrade of the successful A11 Tribute model, is a Class AB 2x50W (8 ohms) Integrated Amplifier that retains its Moving Magnet Phono Stage and three RCA analogue source inputs. Additionally, it now features aptXTM HD and AAC Bluetooth connectivity, and the MKII version introduces coaxial and optical inputs for connection to digital sources at up to 24-bit/192kHz. The digital circuits received over 22 critical component upgrades, including a Texas Instruments PCM5102A 32-bit/384kHz DAC, resulting, says Rotel, in improved staging and resolution. The front panel of the A11MKII houses bass, treble, and balance controls, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The rear panel features a single set of speaker binding posts, dual 12V trigger outputs, and a signal-sense automatic power control switch.
ROTEL CD11MKII COMPACT DISC PLAYER
Replacing the existing CD11 Tribute model, the Rotel CD11MKII CD Player offers over 10 critical component upgrades in its digital circuits, centred around the TI PCM5102A 32-bit/384kHz DAC. The CD player features a smooth action tray loading mechanism, an LCD display, intuitive front panel controls, and an included IR remote control for simple installation and operation. RCA outputs allow easy connection to audio systems, while the CD11MKII also provides a coaxial output, allowing it to function as a CD transport. The inclusion of a 12V trigger input and RS232 connection enables seamless integration with control systems.
