ROTEL CELEBRATES 60th ANNIVERSARY WITH INTRODUCTION OF TWO NEW DIAMOND SERIES MODELS

The new Rotel Diamond products have been designed to honour the heritage, legacy and passion of the Rotel Audio brand and its founding family.

ROTEL DIAMOND SERIES

The two model Rotel Diamond Series has been specially created to encompass, demonstrate and celebrate the brands 60-year legacy of commitment to quality and passion for audio performance, having been established in 1961 in Tokyo, Japan by founder Mr. Tomoki Tachikawa, and having been directed and managed by his family ever since.

INSPIRATION FROM ROTEL MICHI SERIES

The Diamond Series includes the DT-6000 DAC Transport and RA-6000 Integrated Amplifier each sharing a new industrial design language emphasizing modern engineered, contemporary styling that both compliments Rotel’s current offerings while paying tribute to the brand’s heritage through generations of legacy models. As befitting of a special celebration both Diamond Series products feature a combination of Michi inspired circuit design working in combination with bespoke and custom components.

ROTEL DT-6000 DAC TRANSPORT

The Rotel DT-6000 DAC Transport features an 8-channel ESS Sabre ES9028PRO Digital to Analogue converter configured to dedicate four Mono DACs each to the left and right channels. The DAC feeds custom engineered fully balanced differential output filters. The unit includes a PC-USB input supporting MQA and DSD audio playback and renders PCM 32-bit/384kHz music files through the coaxial and optical inputs supporting music streamers and media players and includes a tray-loading CD Mechanism.

TOROIDAL TRANSFORMER

The DT-6000 is powered by an in-house manufactured, bespoke shielded toroidal transformer with high efficiency slit foil smoothing capacitors reducing stray emissions and delivering independent, isolated, low noise power to all critical circuits.

ROTEL RA-6000 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER 

The RA-6000 Integrated Amplifier delivers 350 watts of output power into 4-ohm speaker loads using technical and performance designs from the brand’s flagship Michi series models, especially with regards to circuit design, acoustic component selection and power supply engineering methods, while also further developing the upgrades found in Rotel’s recent MKII models.  An array of source inputs ensures connection to modern and legacy audio sources including three coaxial, three optical, three analogue, PC-USB supporting MQA, Bluetooth with aptXTM HD for wireless streaming, XLR Balanced, iOS USB for Apple devices and a Moving Magnet Phono stage for vinyl enthusiasts.

ROTEL DIAMOND SERIES PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

The Diamond Series RA-6000 and DT-6000 will be available in black and silver finishes with shipments beginning in July of 2022.
