SONUS FABER MASERATI GRECALE AUDIO SYSTEM
The idea behind this system in the Maserati Grecale was to faithfully reproduce Sonus faber’s Natural Sound experience, making a car cabin into a true listening room. They designed and engineered two different sound systems: Premium with 14 speakers and W860 and High Premium with 21 speakers and W1285.
Sonus faber tuned the two sound systems in the same way they do for their home audio loudspeakers. For the 14-driver Premium Audio System, they set up two tuning modes: Guarneri with a precise soundstage, a great openness, and outstanding clarity; Amati with a full and balanced sound perception enhanced in the bass frequencies. For an ultimate Sonus faber experience, the High Premium Audio System equipped with 21 drivers provides a 3D sound environment with separate woofer control. Two tuning modes are also available: Reference and Ex3ma tuning modes.
EISA AWARDS
The Expert Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) is a collaboration of more than 60 Consumer Electronics magazines, websites and journalists. Contributing members extend beyond Europe to over 30 countries, including the USA, Japan and India.
Referring to the Sonus faber’s Premium Audio System in the Maserati Grecale, the EISA judges commented: ‘Maserati’s new Grecale is one of the finest and most stylish SUVs on the market, and in a car where perfection is standard, the sound reproduction has to match – something made possible by cooperation with the Italian high-end speaker brand Sonus faber’.
When discussing the Sonus faber Omnia wireless speaker the EISA judges noted, ‘You might fall for the Omnia’s striking looks and its illuminated touch controls, but you’ll stay for the signature Sonus faber sound and sweeping feature set.’
