SNA DAC-Pre Launch

For the first time, SNA will present the production model of their entry-level DAC-Pre, combining a digital-to-analogue converter and analogue preamplifier. The DAC supports USB, SPDIF, and Toslink inputs, using dual AKM DAC chips in non-oversampling (NOS) configuration, supporting up to 32-bit/768kHz PCM and Quad DSD. The analogue section is powered by ECC88 valves, ensuring plenty of gain to drive any amplifier or speaker system. Handmade and point-to-point wired, the DAC-Pre will retail for £995 (direct sale only).

Clipaudio Dolomite / Nine-Wave Turntable and Tonearm System

The Nine-Wave tonearm is a new twist on the classic double-gimbal bearing S-shaped design. With an additional vertical bend, it improves tracking by aligning the stylus tip with the gimbal centre. Paired with the Dolomite turntable, which has taken 25 years to develop, this system offers high-quality sound and build. The turntable features a cast acrylic chassis, adjustable elastomer suspension, and a bronze bearing housing to reduce noise. The system is priced at £5000, with the Dolomite available separately for £4000 and the Nine-Wave tonearm for £1500.

CML Music Etude 5 and Curvi-BMR Mk2 Loudspeakers

The Etude 5 speaker, which has received a five-heart review from HiFi PiG, features a narrow form factor and uses a combination of BMR drive units and force-cancelled bass units for electrostatic-level clarity. The design incorporates a transmission line for deep bass and is finished in real piano lacquer. The price is £10,000/pair, including delivery and installation in the UK.

The Curvi-BMR Mk2 is a single-driver transmission line speaker made from laminated birch plywood. It offers electrostatic-level coherence with the deep bass of a transmission line. The price for a pair is £4000.

Lucas Audio Lab Music Server

Lucas Audio Lab will feature the Lucas Domansky Music Server (LDMS Minimax) with the range-topping hybrid power supply as part of a high-end streaming system.
