TAD CE1TX-K AND TAD GE1-WN ARE THE NEW ADDITIONS TO THE EVOLUTION SERIES

Japanese HiFi brand, Technical Audio Devices Laboratories, or TAD Labs, has introduced two new speaker systems.

The TAD CE1TX-K standmount speaker system and the TAD GE1-WN floorstanding speaker system are the two new additions to the TAD Labs Evolution Series.

TAD CE1TX-K  STANDMOUNT SPEAKERS

The TAD CE1TX-K, available in late October 2023, is an update to its earlier wood grain finish enclosure, now presented in a classic piano black finish. The speaker system incorporates TAD’s proprietary CST Driver, enabling control of midrange and tweeter directivity. This leads to reproduction across frequencies ranging from 250 Hz to 100 kHz. The tweeter features a beryllium diaphragm, and the midrange employs a newly developed magnesium diaphragm with high internal loss.

WOOFER

The TAD CE1TX-K employs a specially developed woofer diaphragm for improved bass quality. The speaker system’s SILENT enclosure combines various materials like birch-plywood braces, medium-density fibreboard panels, and aluminium side panels. The inclusion of the Bidirectional ADS Port is designed to further enriche the bass experience.

TAD GE1-WN FLOORSTANDING SPEAKERS

In parallel, the TAD-GE1-WN, set for release in late November 2023, draws inspiration from TAD’s Reference TX Series and the CE1TX speaker, offering, says TAD Labs, a balanced blend of performance and pricing. The model incorporates the CST Driver for accurate sound reproduction, a beryllium tweeter diaphragm, and a magnesium midrange diaphragm with high internal loss.

ISO DRIVE TECH

The GE1-WN benefits from TAD’s ISO Drive Technology, mechanically isolating the CST Driver to ensure accurate waveform reproduction. The speaker system also utilizes the Bidirectional ADP System to improve bass experience. The wood-grain enclosure accentuates the natural grain of the wood, presenting an elegant aesthetic.
