RECYCLING RARE EARTH MAGNETS FROM LOUDSPEAKERS BY BIRMINGHAM UNIVERSITY’S REAP PROJECT
The University of Birmingham has announced the successful completion of a project demonstrating that the rare earth magnets in loudspeakers, which are currently lost to landfill, can be successfully recycled.
Audeara, which the makers claim are the world’s first ‘full fidelity headphones’ with an in built hearing test to protect users ears, is currently a live project on Kickstarter.
