Tangent Audio has announced the launch of a new and improved version of their compact sized, Ampster Bluetooth amplifier.  A new matching CD and Tuner have also been designed to create a full audio system that can also be partnered with Tangent’s own X4 or X5 speakers.

The second generation of Tangent’s Ampster BT amplifier is a small and conveniently sized amp with many features. You can stream your music from your smartphone, tablet or computer directly to the Ampster II BT wirelessly via Bluetooth, or by connecting your device using an AUX cable.  Digital and analogue line inputs, a sub-output and USB charging ports are also provided.

With the second generation Ampster II BT, higher quality amplifier components have been used to improve sound quality and functionality further. Software developments have also created more user-friendly operation particularly in multi-room environments or where commercial applications limit operation via the remote control.  The Ampster II BT reverts to Standby when the music signal stops via Bluetooth and wakes automatically when you resume Playback.  In addition the Ampster II BT can be woken from Standby from the AUX mini-jack input, which allows you to connect to most Multi-room or wi-fi network systems. This new second-generation version also features an IR infrared input, which enables the amp to be positioned wherever it’s not possible to directly operate with its remote control.  Just connect the supplied cable to the external IR input on the rear panel and position the IR eye wherever the RC can reach it.

Tangent’s CD II is a multi-format disc player that’s compatible with all current CD formats (including home made MP3 files) and has both digital optical and regular line-outputs. The Tuner II provides easy and reliable access to many local and national radio stations thanks to its latest technology tuner.  The FM analogue tuner features RDS whilst the Digital DAB/DAB+ tuner offers fast, locked-in reception of all available DAB/DAB+ channels.  The large white text LED display clearly provides the information you need whichever radio band and station you’re listening to. A remote control supplied with each Ampster, CD II and Tuner II operates all three components when stacked together or separately.

By combining the Ampster II BT with the CD II and Tuner II you can create a complete, compact and space saving hifi system with each component being less the 7cm high and less than the width of an A4 sheet of paper.
