A NEW VENUE DEDICATED TO TECHNICS, THE TECHNICS CAFE KYOTO HAS OPENED
The Technics Cafe KYOTO has been designed as a new base where you can experience and rediscover music.
December 6th saw the opening of the new Technics Cafe KYOTO, following in the long tradition of Japanese Audiophile Bars, but with a modern twist.
“We aim to make Technics Cafe KYOTO a base for creating encounters between diverse people, music, and culture, and a place where you can enjoy new music styles that inherit and create high-end audio and DJ culture for a new era”.

TECHNICS CAFE KYOTO DJ BOOTH
Of course, the new venue would not be complete without a DJ booth, featuring permanently installed SL-1200MK7 DJ turntables…the Technics1200 being the turntable most associated with DJ and club culture and having benn elevated to iconic status.
The café will regularly hold various music events such as audio live performances, collaboration projects, DJ performances, etc. The space uses RAMSA’s professional audio system that achieves “high functionality and high sound quality”.
TECHNICS CAFE KYOTO LISTENING SPACE
The Technics Cafe KYOTO has a café serving light meals and drinks along with a Listening Space offering a listening experience with a reference system. At night, it becomes a bar-style restaurant.
REFERENCE SYSTEM
The Reference System features Technics SB-R1 loudspeakers, SL-1000R turntable, SU-R1000 amplifier and SL-G700M2 CD player.
PLAYLISTS
The Technics Café KYOTO playlist features an organic mix of music culture, music genres and artists, with playlists chosen by DJs, musicians and record shops, promising an eclectic listen for visitors.

The next event is the AT Technics Special Sunset Session which will be held on Sunday, December 17th, featuring DJ SPINNA, DJ KOCO aka SHIMOKITA and Shun 145.
TECHNICS CAFE KYOTO LOCATION
You can find the Technics Cafe KYOTO in the Kyoto Shijo Shinmachi Building, Kyoto City. It is open 11am till 8pm Sunday to Thursday and 11am to 10pm on Friday and Saturday.
