We’ve chosen albums from loads of different genres and tried to keep them as accessible as possible and not too obscure so that as many readers as possible can enjoy the albums on their chosen format or streaming service.

What’s behind today’s window?

Amy Winehouse – Back to Black (Soul/Jazz, 2006)

Back to Black was Any’s second studio album and reached #1 in the UK and the States. It’s based on her relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil and was co-produced by Mark Ronson. It has a Motown feel to its production and spawned a number of singles including Rehab and Back to Black. Sales of the record peaked again after Winehouse died in 2011.
