Based in the UK Ophidian is headed up by Gareth James and all their speakers use AEROFLEX bass loading which the company says “allows our loudspeakers to reproduce bass signals with incredible definition and control by minimising port air velocity”. Hifi Pig reviewed the Solo  and Minimo loudspeakers some time ago and really enjoyed them. The company has now launched its P Series of loudspeakers which includes the floorstanding P2 (reviewed here) and the standmounted P1. Gareth was kind enough to offer us a loan of the P2s for our little event and despite being in a very large room the filled it admirably and with great bass extension.
