The world famous Marquee Club London, which helped launch the careers of artists including The Who; The Rolling Stones; The Small Faces; The Yardbirds; Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie, will be opening its doors again by presenting the Marquee Experience on Friday 14 October at The Indulgence Show (14-16 October 2016, Novotel Conference Centre, Hammersmith) at 7:30pm, bringing the iconic venue back to life for one night only.
Leading vocalists, lead and bass guitarists, drummers and keyboard players who all played at the venue ‘back in the day’ will be performing live in the Morangis Room on the Champagne Terrace level (next to headroom™) of the Novotel Conference Centre. Visitors will be able to relive those halcyon days when The Marquee Club was the place to see new bands, many of which went on to be global mega-acts.
Vernon Hamblin, producer of The Indulgence Show, says, “We are very excited to be welcoming such an iconic musical experience to The Indulgence Show and anticipate that this will be one of the key sell-out highlights at the event. The musicians who are performing are bound to leave the audience reeling with nostalgia of days gone by and will certainly revive the talent that has never been forgotten.”
The Marquee experience will feature the following:
Johnny Warman – Bearded Lady, Humble Pie and The Steve Marriott Memorial Band.
Lead Guitar
Dave Gregory – XTC, Peter Gabriel, Lulu, Mark Almond and many more.
Drums
Richard Willoughby – opened for Bruce Springsteen and the Foo Fighters.
Bass
Steve Tilling – Whitesnake, Ultravox, Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, Marillion.
Keyboards
Andy Neve – Alison Moyet, 10cc, The Move.
Tickets to The Marquee Experience are £12 in advance or £15 if purchased during the show or on the night.
