The Newcastle based French punk-pop duo The Noise & The Naive were formed in 2017. With acknowledged influences that include Shonen Knife, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and White Stripes,Anne (drums, lead vocals) and Pauline (guitar, backing vocals) have forged their own unique take on the Riot girl aesthetic and gained a reputation for fire-cracking live sets that has led to gig invitations from events such as Hit The North, Evo Emerging and Loud Women.

They are now beginning to make Noise nationwide with their just-released second EP, entitled  ‘Inside Me Ten Thousand Men Ten Filthy Curs’. Having already issued videos for two singles from it (the energetic, blues-punk infused ‘Mus Musculus’ and reflective ’Seek Solace’), a third song is now getting the promo treatment in the form of ’10,000 Men’, described in a glowing Louder Than War EP review as “heavy cranked guitar riff, hammering drums, shimmering cymbals, odd breakdowns and switching timescales….this is a strange yet welcome voodoo.” The band themselves simply state that “this song is about a giant devouring 10,000 men. Not that she’s bad or anything.”

An upcoming tour to promote the EP includes a number of festival dates in the northeast, with confirmed shows until the end of May as follows :
