HIFI PIG JOINED FRENCH HIFI BRAND TOTALDAC IN PARIS FOR A DAY OF MUSIC ON THE RIVER
Regular readers will recall that last year we had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Totaldac launch of their d100 loudspeakers on a yacht on the river Seine in Paris, during the Paris Audio Video Show 2021.
This September we were invited back by Vincent from Totaldac, for another event, along with some of Totaldac’s customer from France and further afield.
PARIS BY NIGHT
It was a lovely day, with the Clipper yacht moored at the Quai de Grenelle during the afternoon, with the chance to listen to music in the lounge downstairs and eat crepes in the sunshine, cooked by Vincent’s wife Delphine.
We then set sail on an evening cruise with accordion music on the deck from Christian Basset, champagne and food aplenty, taking in the illuminated sites of a Parisian evening.
TOTALDAC SYSTEM
In the lounge we listened to music via an end-to-end fully Totaldac system which was composed of:
d1-switch, the Totaldac ethernet switch
d1-player
d1-streamer-mk2
Totaldac ethernet cable/filters
reclocker d1-digital-mk2
d1-twelve-mk3 DAC with UP12 AES-EBU cables
live-power power supply fed by an Echole power cord
d1-driver-mk2 monoblocs
Amp-1 amplifier, stereo version
d100%wood speakers with proprietary Totaldac wood drivers
Totaldac cables
A video from the evening with Christian Basset (accordion) and Genevieve Basset (vocal).
